Did you know pigs can’t sweat properly? 🐷That’s why they roll in mud to cool down and protect their skin from the sun. Nature’s version of air conditioning and spf! ☀️💦

Our team work hard to keep their mud baths topped up in warm weather so they can stay cool, comfy and very happy 🐽

You might also notice that if it gets too hot, our pigs may choose not to take part in pig racing. Their welfare always comes first, and we’ll make sure there’s another activity or animal to meet instead!

Despite the grumpy face, regular warm soaks and showers are really important for sulcata tortoises. They help keep them hydrated, encourage drinking, and support healthy digestion and toilet habits.

Frank may act like we’ve ruined his entire week… but secretly it’s very good for him 💛
